Progress Report

The annual progress report is mandatory for all BIGS Clinical and Population Science PhD students
The progress report is a tool, which helps students to reflect on their progress and better plan their future milestones. Furthermore, it allows the advisory committees to evaluate the work the students have done and the direction they have taken with their research. It is in the best interest of both students and PIs that thesis-directed research moves forward in a timely and well thought-out manner. Therefore, BIGS Clinical and Population Science wants the doctoral students to meet the advisory committee annually to ensure that the thesis project is still on schedule and directed toward a thesis-worthy body of work.

How to perform a progress report?
Two forms were developed to structure the discussion of students’ thesis research progress. In addition, these forms provide a record of past performance and recommendations for future development of the student. You can download the forms as a WORD-files here or in our download area.

Following the progress report, the filled and signed document has to be scanned and uploaded to our BIGS Clinical and Population Science internal platform in the “Achievement” section.
